Department for students with special abilities for sports

Registration of students and submission of sports documentation for enrollment in the department for students with special abilities for sports will take place in the period from June 6 to 8 (Thursday-Saturday), from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Gymnasium “Borislav Petrov Braca” Vršac, Mihajla Pupina 1.

Among the necessary documents, the original certificate of sports results issued by the national sports federation in the Republic of Serbia must be submitted.

Cross Country “Through Serbia”

The students of our school took part in the 34th RTS Cross Country “Across Serbia”! This sports event took place on May 17 at 10 a.m., and students and preschoolers from 1800 schools and 170 kindergartens ran at the same time!
The main motto of this event is: “Sports and school – yes, strays, streets, violence and drugs – no”!
Cross-country is not only a sports race, but also an exceptional opportunity to promote a healthy lifestyle!
It has been held for years, over time it has become a symbol of endurance, perseverance and sportsmanship.

Memorial of Dimitrija Ardelean

On May 10, in cooperation with the Society for the Romanian Language of Vojvodina, an art workshop dedicated to the “Memorial Dimitrije Ardelean” event was organized in our school.
The aim of the memorial is to preserve the memory of the image and work of the respected academic painter Dimitrije Ardelean, a former professor of fine arts at the Gymnasium, but also a professor at the then Teacher’s School in Vršac.
The participants of the art workshop were students from most of the first-year classes, as well as first-, second-, and third-year Romanian language general students.
Dr. Brindusa Žujka, prof. and Daniela Barbulov Popov, president of the Fine Art and Design Department of the Society for the Romanian Language of Vojvodina.
Professors Olivera Nišević and Adonis Ardelean took part from our school.

Art competition

At this year’s Competition for Art Manifestations of Children and Youth “Paja Jovanović Award”, the students of our school achieved exceptional results:
Tara Marković (I4) – 1st prize
Sara Bugarski (I1) – 2nd prize
Katarina Ivanovski (II1) won the KC Vršac award, Nadja Danjko (IV2) and Milica Rajkov (II3) were commended.
Their mentor was Ivana Milošević, prof.

Sports fair

This year, our school participated in the Vršac Sports Fair, better known as the Small Sports Fair and the League of Small Champions. The fair was held on May 14, on the Square of St. Teodor Vršački, for the 13th time in a row.

The school was promoted by the students of the class with special abilities for sports, first and second years, together with our active physical education professor.

This year, we are enrolling the third generation of athletes, and we invite all young people who play sports, who are old enough to enroll in high school, to join us!

More than 35 sports associations participated in the Small Sports Fair, and about 600 students from Vrsa primary schools visited it.

Tribune on “Human and Minority Rights and Freedoms”

On the occasion of International Roma Day, on April 9, our school held a forum on the topic “Human and minority rights and freedoms”.
Sanja Stanković, senior advisor of the office of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, and Dr. Marinel Negru, head of the education department at the National Council of Romanians, took part in the forum.
During the treatment of the topic, there was talk about the history of human rights and freedoms, the chronology of their conquest and acquisition, with an emphasis on the rights of ethnic communities, as well as the competences of institutions that are in charge of protecting the rights of citizens, such as the institution of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality. The role of National Councils and their importance in striving for an egalitarian society was also mentioned.
Tribune, under the mentorship of prof. Snežane Đenić, moderated by IV2 students: Marina Grujić, Anja Lazić, Marija Miller and Mateja Magda, and in addition to students from our school, students from the School of Chemistry and Medicine and the School Center “Nikola Tesla” were also present with their teachers.
